I *like* a happy World's Finest trio! I'm not overly fond of that "at each other's throats" stuff, either. :)

Most of the conflict I envision for this series will be due to external forces, but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't slip in some tension and arguing due to those external circumstances. I just think they'd be more likely to band closer together as it'll sometimes seems as if the whole world is against them.
