I'm going to echo you and say that I enjoyed this episode. In fact, there were a few times where I actually squealed in glee.
1. When he saved the father and son from the flood. The little nod? That was such a Superman thing to do.
2. "It's what you've always wanted. Isn't it, Lex." Loved it. The fact that Lex still wants Clark in some capacity, despite everything they've gone though and all the bad feelings on both sides, is awesome. Just. Awesome.
3. When he had to stand in that ray of light and just bask? Yes, that was another squee thing for me.
4. J'onn Jonzz.
Things I didn't like:
1. Lois saying, "Make yourself useful for once." I mean, it's not as if Clark dug her, Chloe and season six phantom victim out of a collapsing dam before it fell down or anything. I mean, she's got some really high expectations if she doesn't think that saving her life is good or useful enough.
