I just started reading this after a hiatus, but everyone is being too legalistic about the Caldwells. Kill them. Challenge them to a duel if you want to be fair, but otherwise treat them like an angry bull and kill them. They are of no benefit to society alive. Rapid dogs are put down in the interest of public safety.
