Hee, this was adorable! XD I just finished watching parts 1 & 2 of the Kennedys mini-series, so this fit right in with the time period and the frame of mind the mini-series got me in.
It was an amazing time, wasn't it? There was something special about it. By 1959, an air of optimism for the new decade was starting, and the early 1960s did generate an aura of "We can overcome." Sadly, Vietnam, the loss of the Kennedys and Martin Luthor King, Jr., and all our domestic problems put us in a tailspin for years to come.
And I just loved the little bit about Rock Hudson, and Steve and Hal, and Diana and Selina purring in mutual approval. ^_~
