I saw it recently too! I really enjoyed it. A couple of the Christmas-themed jokes seemed to me to be a little belabored but it was a cute, fun movie. It really didn't even have a slow middle. I agree with you about Gwyneth, both in the way she seemed so paper-thin and the coolness of the armor. Although, I guess - I just now thought of this - maybe part of the take-away is the contrast between her frailness and post-extremis armored version? I don't know but I think my favorite thing was the way the suit was the extra character.. And the way the scruffiest version of the suit --well, you know.
