Patriots Day!!!

Today is Patriots Day here in Massachusetts (not the football team, lol), so that means the 251st anniversary of the Battle of Lexington and Concord (which is re-enacted), and the 130th running of the Boston Marathon. The Red Sox play an early game (11:00) so that after it's over, the fans can pour out of Fenway and watch the end of the Marathon. ☺️

Super Bowl LX: Seattle Seahawks 29, New England Patriots 13 (1-3) (Sunday, February 8, 2026)

Well, it wasn't what we Pats fans hoped. Defense was good but the offense was awful. Drake Maye is no Tom Brady, even comparing him to Brady as a second-year quarterback in the Super Bowl.

The Seahawks' defense was top-notch and one of the reasons the Pats' offense stunk, but it's up to the offense to find a rhythm and get creative. It doesn't help that the O-line was a leaky sieve.

A great season, but a disappointing finish.

The best thing about the evening was watching the game with my sister and BIL. We had a great time. I stayed over and we went out to breakfast at a classic diner. I had Belgian blueberry waffles. Yum! So it's all good. ☺️
