Okay, this is ultra, Twilight Zone weird.
Tom's old friend and former Patriots' Offensive Coordinator, Charlie Weis, coaches Notre Dame. During the first half of today's game, Charlie was run into by one of his own players on the sideline and injured. Diagnosis? Torn ACL and MCL in the knee, just like Tom! Boy, there will be teasing about this, especially since it was against Michigan, Tom's alma mater! ;)
We always knew they were joined at the hip. ;)
