Author's Note: Jim Donovan not only successfully negotiated the Rudolf Abel/Gary Powers swap with the Soviet Union in 1962, bur he also was the negotiator to free the Bay of Pigs prisoners from Castro that same year. ( He privately called this the Month of Melancholy. )
