Excellent essay! And to those who might argue that they're writing dreck when they force themselves to write every day, I say-it's easier to edit a crap page than a blank page. Just saying.

Those who make writing their profession do look at writing like a job, just like any other. Which means scheduling time to write and actually writing (not checking your email/playing farmville/doing everything but writing)
