The wrap-up for 2024! 🥳



2024 was an oddball year. For the first six months I concentrated on my original novel and only wrote a few short fannish pieces. The Muses were quiet.

Then I hit my stride when I was inspired by Naked City, a late '50s/early '60s TV show I had heard about but never seen until I found all the episodes on YouTube. Yay, me! 🥳 Watched them all, was inspired by the detective team in Seasons 2-4, and I was off and running!

I wrote a short story, a poem, and am still working on a long fic in this fandom, which gave me a posted word count on DW of 23,226 for the year. This doesn't count the many words written for my original novel, just fanfic. I now have a grand total of 852 stories since 2006 and a total word count of 2,251,241 posted since then. Pretty good, huh? ☺️

I thought I wasn't going to post any comics-related fic for the first time since 2006, but the holidays saved me with two DC Comics stories.

Frank/Adam of Naked City was the top pairing. No capes, but good guys nevertheless.

My goals for 2025? Finish the long mental hospital fic, When The Leaves Fall, and return to the Naked Cops series that got sidetracked by the longfic.

I was going to write a story inspired by JFK's 1961 Inauguration as the next story, so will still do that. It'll give off a lot of different vibes than what we'll be experiencing soon on January 20th, that's for sure! 1961 presented hope, optimism and class. 2025? 'Nuff said!
