Week 17: New England Patriots 28, New York Jets 14 (7-9) (Sunday, January 3, 2021)

So endeth the season!

Actually, it was a pretty good game, the Patriots coming back for a win against the Jets was good, and the players had fun. They scored TDs and one was by a tight end, the first time that position scored all year! J.C. Jackson snagged his 11th INT, second-best in the NFL. How this guy didn't make the Pro Bowl is a mystery. What a snub!

Anyway, the season was a bust as far as the division and playoffs were concerned, but not unexpected after Tom left. He had another great game this week and the Bucs are in the playoffs, so I'll probably root for him as far as his team goes. Otherwise I'll be laidback this year as far as watching the games go.

New England and Buffalo won and New York and Miami lost.

Disgraceful

Ugh, I hate it when so-called peaceful demonstrations turn violent. And taking over buildings like anti-war protesters did in '68 at Columbia University? Showboating.

But January 6, 2021 was a new low in American history. Breaching the Capitol and rioting and terrorizing? Not since the War of 1812 has that happened, and not even during the tumultuous days of the Civil War. It was a disgrace, to put it mildly, and an outrage. That picture of the guy sitting at the desk in the U.S. Senate? Reminded me of the picture of the anti-war protester putting his feet up on Columbia President Grayson Kirk's desk and smoking his cigars. Oh, yeah, and another moron put his feet up on Nancy Pelosi's desk.

But what was even worse? That the guy using the title of President of the United States openly encouraged the protesters to storm the Capitol, and delayed for hours asking them to go home, while repeating that the election was stolen, and he understood their pain! This guy encouraged sedition and is proud of it.

I guess my prediction that the Cheeto would be dragged kicking and screaming from the White House needs amending, as in he's determined to burn the country on his way out. Biden better change the locks!
