He's just so understanding; Bruce really doesn't know how lucky he is!
Bruce hit the jackpot with this kid. He helped Dick tremendously by taking him in and giving him a home, and then a purpose as Robin, but Dick gives so much back to him. And he is very understanding and perceptive enough to know where Bruce is coming from. And he doesn't let him get away with too much, either! :)
