Fortress Of Good Fortune

You know, reading the previous chapter and knowing there were only two more left to go, I was thinking what sort of these two ones would be. And I have to say, I had a feeling it would not be quite happy chapters. I was thinking there could be some tense or darker news in there. It seems I wasn’t wrong (at last as regards this chapter). In the moment I saw the name of Madame Zee, I knew there would be bad news. Well...

“You’d be right.” He had remembered that when he’d arrived in Gotham with a fluttery feeling in his stomach.
Wow, Steve has remembered the Madame Zee words.
All those prophecy about his destiny, Diana, Hal’s questions and Steve’s thoughts and dreams – that has to be confused for him now. But I’m sure he will understand in the future. :)

Poor Bruce. The prediction sounded so darkly and threateningly. Anyway, I was glad for this line:“ until rainbows come into your life….sweet and sure and a Great Destiny awaits you…”“ – I think there sure is a hope in this.

Clark came up to him. “Is everything all right, Master?” he asked softly.
Bruce looked at Clark and grasped his hand, squeezing tightly.
“As long as I have you.”
Clark’s smile was a blaze of sunshine in the evening darkness.
I loved these lines. They two are so strong together, giving support, hope and love to each other. They have to go through all the bad and dark days in the future together and win. I believe! *Hugs them both*

Though it wasn’t a very happy chapter, I loved it! A lot! You wrote it all excellently!
I dare to hope the last chapter of this Arc will be happier. *Crosses fingers*
But even if not, I’m looking forward to reading it. :)
