Project For A Stormy Night

Well, that was fun! A bad storm rolled through here an hour ago, so instead of being on-line, I took out my notebooks and made a list of all the stories contained within them that were unfinished or completed but not yet posted. The 14 notebooks date back to around 2005, the year before I got onto LJ, and don't count the notebooks I've always written stuff in since I learned how to write. :)
I know it sounds OCD, but it's practical, as I kept wasting time looking through them to find particular stories I wanted to work on and forgetting exactly which notebook they were in. Now I just have to put the list in a place I don't forget. ;)
Anyway, skipping over the completed stories (a scary amount!), I counted 31 unfinished/not posted stories, 2 of which will probably never see the light of day. These stories are either dreadful, hit a wall, or I just never got around to revising/typing them. There will probably be more that never get posted, but they could be valuable as to character insight or working out of a particular plot.
The notebooks are all sizes: pocket size, old-fashioned composition books, and the standard 8 1/2 x 11 size, with varying sheet count. Some are very thin while others are fat. Six notebooks in addition to the 14 contain the handwritten drafts to Rainbow's Freedom, with a 7th soon to be started.
Some of the stories are Public Enemies and Emergency! fandoms. I'm not sure if I'll be posting many of those, since the fandoms are miniscule, but since when has that ever stopped me? ;)

Date: 2011-06-09 11:20 pm (UTC)I do have a PE story that I mentioned to you at the con: I used a scene from the extras on the DVD with Mel looking incredibly gorgeous in a powder-blue suit, and working it into a Mel/Johnny story. :)
Most of the rest of the PE stories are in the unfinished category so will take awhile to be ready, but a lot of the E! stuff is completed. I'm just not sure if they're ready for prime time. ;)
But thanks for the vote! I could always use the encouragement.
Oh, did you ever get a buyer count for No More Doubts? Bast can advertise it as a Fan Q winner now! ;)

You know, sometimes you surprise yourself when you count things up. I knew I still had some stuff I could use for posting but didn't think it was this much! :)
