Week 7: San Francisco 49ers 33, New England Patriots 6 (2-4) (Sunday, October 25, 2020)
Well, we've hit rock-bottom. Very few bright spots (J.C. Jackson and Devin McCourty had an interception apiece, and our kicker Nick Folk did his job). Otherwise, ugh. Okay, Jakobi Meyers had a good day as WR, but our offense is still lacking playmakers. Cam is definitely out-of-sync, and our defense can't stop the run. Anything else? Oh, yeah, this is the first time since 2002 that the Patriots have lost three games in a row, and Tom Brady threw 4 touchdowns for Tampa Bay on the way to a 45-20 win over the Raiders. Yeesh!
Last week's excuse was lack of practice for two weeks prior due to COVID shutdowns. This week the Patriots had regular practices. Looks to me like lack of talent is their problem.
Buffalo could wipe the field with the Pats next week in Buffalo. This week, Buffalo won, New England and New York lost, and Miami was on their bye week.
This is Life After Brady:
AFC EAST
Buffalo 5-2
Miami 3-3 (Bye)
NE 2-4
NYJ 0-7
