Who brings me joy.

When first we met
Our romance was like
A comet
Blazing across the sky,
Bright, but brief.

I have endured
Decades of loneliness,
Missing him
Every…single…day.

Now he is with me
Once more
In all his golden glory
And I must
Give him up
Again?

Why can’t I have this one thing?
