Saturday Morning Cartoons--Thing Of The Past On Free TV?

Cartoons and kids' TV used to rule! on Saturday mornings. It was always fun to watch those cartoons because it was a kids' world. :) And after watching a few hours, my sister and I would go out and play all day.

My parents were smart: they never forbid watching cartoons and let us choose what we wanted to watch and how much. That way, no 'forbidden fruit' and after a few hours, we were done. If they'd forbidden us or restricted our time, we'd have wanted to sit there all day! :)

TV Rec: Friday Night Lights

The second season of Friday Night Lights starts tonight on NBC at 9:00. While high school football is a focus (it takes place in Texas), the show delves into much more than that. The first season was outstanding. I'd recommend it to people who like drama that applies realism to the storylines.

A Wonderful Anniversary ;)

Today is a special anniversary: it’s been a whole week since I created wonderwomanlove! LOL!

But it’s been cool to see how people have been joining almost daily, and we’ve gotten a lot of fic posted! All varieties and all fun! We also welcome artists (illos, icons, and manips).

Wonder Woman is like Aphrodite: she loves to love! ;)

Quicklist for the Halloween Challenge

Well, so far the Halloween Challenge has been a big success! :) A few words:

Artists, I’ve modified it for your category. It’s tough to incorporate all the elements of the Challenge into one piece of art, so if you can do at least one, that’d be cool! And if you want to do a general Halloween-themed illo, icon, or manip, that would be great! We already have two fantastic pieces of art by rai_daydreamer.

I’ve assembled a quick list of what we have so far. Most links are on the Main Page, and those that haven’t been posted there yet are on the authors’ journals. I’m compiling a master list which will include headers and links to the fic in one easy-to-read list. I’m still requesting that anyone who has or will create a work for the Challenge to still post the link to the Main Page so that it will be complete. I’m doing a master list so that people won’t have to wade through all the comments, but those can be fun! :) Here’s what we have so far, and if I’ve missed someone, apologies! I’m taking these from the Main Page and so may have forgotten some if they haven’t been linked yet (also a little loopy from meds at the moment).
