Week 11: New England Patriots 56, Buffalo Bills 10 (10-0) (November 18, 2007)
Can this team be stopped? I hope not! :)
Seriously, though, even if you’re not a football fan, you might want to catch the Pats in some of their upcoming primetime games (Nov. 25, Dec. 3, and a late Sunday afternoon game, Dec. 9th). This is ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ that we’re witnessing, and we may never see its like again.
Buffalo scored its only TD in the first quarter to make the score 14-7, but after that, it was all Patriots, all the time. Buffalo only managed a field goal the rest of the night while the Patriots racked up 56 points, tying a franchise record.
Tom Brady broke former New England quarterback Steve Grogan’s TD record as a Patriot, scoring his 183rd TD pass last night.
Randy Moss is on his way to a record season of scoring TDs.
Tom is also on pace to break the single-season NFL record for TD passes, held now by Peyton Manning.
This is, as some experts are saying, the single greatest season that a quarterback has ever had. Hopefully that continues right up until the Super Bowl!
This season and the past six seasons make up for all the lousy 1-15 and 2-14 seasons I’ve had to suffer through, the bad ownership and management pre-Kraft-and-Belichick, and the aluminum bleachers in the old stadium that were like flat skillets in the summer and a frozen pond in the winter.
People say, "Hey! Just you wait! You’ll stink again someday!"
Of course we will! That’s why we’re enjoying this ride every single second while we can! :)
