Stories could range from slash to (gasp!) gen and het. :) I’d like to focus on many different characters within the framework of The New Frontier universe, or use it as a jumping-off point. All stories can be found here.

Author’s Notes: Written for the 2011 [livejournal.com profile] queer_fest. Prompt: DC Comics: (New Frontier) any characters, having secrets on top of 'are you now or have you ever been?'
Originally scheduled to be posted on June 16, 2011, but I’m taking advantage of Amnesty Wednesday to post early. ;)

Black Canary could feel the hostile eyes on her out here in the hall outside the House chamber. Inside the chamber was packed with people, klieg lights shining for the cameras. NBC, CBS, and the Dumont Network were ready to start broadcasting when the session of the House Un-American Activities Committee began. )

Another food poll! ;)

There's a jillion cuisines out there, but LJ only gives you a limited amount of options, so 'Other' is there for you to check off if you want to add those not on the list. I threw together a bunch that I'm familiar with. :)

'American' Cuisine:

1) Traditional 'typical' foods like hot dogs and hamburgers, etc.
2) Regional dishes like New England clam chowder and Southern fried chicken, etc.
3) 'Early American'-type dishes, usually served in Colonial-themed restaurants: Yankee Pot Roast, corn fritters, apple cobbler, etc.

'Canadian' Cuisine:

Admittedly, I don't know all the varieties, though I do think of poutine, French fries with vinegar, and Prince Edward Island potatoes when I think of Canadian cuisine. I'm sure my Canadian flisters can give us a bunch more. :)

Enjoy!
