Divisional Round: New England Patriots 35, Tennessee Titans 14 (1-0) (Sunday, January 14, 2018)
The Patriots started out slow, but that's been the pattern all year. I wish they'd have a fast start, but so be it. Tennessee scored first but didn't score again until garbage time.
The offense started to click and pulled away in the third quarter, giving the Patriots a comfortable lead. There were typical Tom heroics, good running by Dion Lewis and James White, and good wide receiver play by Danny Amendola. The defense was very sharp and special teams well, even though Steve Gostkowski missed a field goal.
Gillette Stadium was really rockin'! People are enjoying playoff football once more in New England. We are appreciating greatness while we can. This is Tom Brady's seventh straight AFCCG. That's insane! And a possible eighth Super Bowl appearance. Craziness!
Next week, the Jacksonville Jaguars at Gillette Stadium in the AFC Championship Game! :)
