One never knows in sports what will happen, so I'm not 100% certain that the Celtics will wrap up No. 17 tonight, but they could! Certainly they have a lot of confidence after that historic comeback on Thursday. :)
I'm going to be signing off earlier than usual tonight to concentrate on the game and have some dinner, but until then, plot bunnies are nibbling! Ideas are whirling! ;)
Still more fic to come, as I have a lot written and just need to revise and type it all!
Random thoughts: I'll be thinking about my Halloween Challenge this summer. If that was the only Challenge I did all year, that would be the one, because I love Halloween! :) I want to get people all excited about it when I post it in a few months, so I must have thinky thoughts 'til then! ;)
My birthday (in September) is on a Saturday this year! Excellent! Birthdays are always so much more fun on weekends, aren't they? :)
My beloved New England Patriots will be starting training camp in July. I'll probably have to cut back on the trips (gas prices are just ridiculous!) but I intend to go at least once and see my boys in action. Yep, they blew the perfect season big-time last year, but they're still my boys. Fans here will gripe and groan but we'll stick with our teams and circle the wagons. *luvs Tom Brady* ;)
I'll also be thinking of something to do to commemorate the first anniversary of
wonderwomanlove, which coincidentally, is the same day as my birthday (September 27th). :) We have a very eclectic collection of entries over there. Check out the latest entry for the June Challenge. Simply lovely!
*thinks happy thinky thoughts*

Yep, they start in six weeks. Tom Brady and the Patriots will be out to avenge that Super Bowl loss, so the rest of the league better watch out! :)

We circled the wagons around our coach last year, especially in the second game against San Diego after the story first broke.
Very biased, sensationalist reporting on Spygate. Did you notice no coach except the holier-than-thou Tony Dungy complained? Because they all know they've done things to get an edge that could be just as egregious if exposed.
BTW, all you need to know about Dungy is that he fervently campaigned against gay rights in Indiana because of his religious beliefs.
On a side note, our teams won't meet during the regular season, guess we'll have to wait for the playoffs! ;)
Heh! Could be!
So, what do you think of your QB? Ironically, he was the unknown back-up to Drew Bledsoe before taking over the team. Sound familiar? ;)

I like Romo. Only thing, he seems to distract easily. Here's hoping he keeps his head in the game all season! *crosses fingers* Apparently being a back-up to Bledsoe is a good thing! ;)

Yep, plenty of those types around!

LOL! It seems to be a good career choice! :)
I think Romo's got talent but can be flighty. I'm not sure if he's as dedicated to hard work as an NFL QB needs to be, at least this early in his career.
Tom isn't perfect, but he works his derriere off and consistently gets one of the parking spots closest to the door as a reward for being one of the hardest-working guys in the off-season training program down in Foxboro. He studies film 'til his eyes get scratchy and still has time for Giselle! ;)
Maybe it's good that Tony's easily distracted. Good for the rest of the teams! ;)

Date: 2008-06-16 10:42 pm (UTC)*nods sadly* You're absolutely right! Most QBs, like Brady, study their opponents and prepare for a game. Romo seems to think he can get by on talent alone. =/

Eep! I hope not! =)
