Update On BradyGirl's Muses :)

Hope everyone had a fun Fourth of July!
Well, it’s been awhile since my last fic update...
...so here goes!
I’m pleased to say that the goals I set last week were met in most instances. I completed the 2008 DCU Mood Ring Fic Request Meme, which pleases me very much. I loved the white-hot pace at which I wrote the stories (twelve in two weeks) and the quick pace of revising and posting (during the month of June). I had a great time filling the requests and might take the plunge for my second LJ anniversary in November. :)
I was also pleased by the wide range of pairings requested, and my ability to come up with a wide range of genres. I really felt very accomplished with this exercise!
Rainbow’s Freedom is always ongoing, but I will be starting Chapter 30 of the fourth arc and hope to post the chapters of the third arc a little quicker now that I have more time.
I completed posting Jewels In The Crown I: Hera’s Chalice, a long Steve/Diana tale that was well-received. I can’t thank my fellow fans enough for their comments on stories starring these two. You really encourage me to keep writing more! In fact, I may have a few more bunnies for them coming soon!
I also finished posting The Better Angels, the Clark/Bruce angel fantasy that received enthusiastic response.
I was happy to take part in the S/B Big Ass Contest, and am hopeful of coming up with something for the WFSG Contest, too!
My Clex Muses are finally back! I think the season finale this year jump-started them. I still want to write a bunny I have for that, but I finally have an idea to continue the Champagne And Apple Cider series, and a new bunny that has expanded to 18 pages, and still more to go!
I finally revised and posted Jen’s LJ anniversary fic, the Selina/Dinah tale, The Cat And The Canary VI: Dessert, and have been making headway on Saavi’s request. :)
I plan to concentrate on the Clark/Bruce fairytale, Heart’s Desire, since I have 4 of the 6 chapters yet to post.
I should have a sequel to the Clark/Bruce fic, Perfect Day, written sometime before the summer’s over. I started it and it’s going pretty well.
I might modify the title and make it a series, as I have other seaside bunnies (fishies?) ;) that are in my head. I may title the series "By-The-Sea" and make it an umbrella title for other couples as well. Hmm. One of my Steve/Diana bunnies could work for that.
I need to get started on my Batman Begins essay for
superhero_muses, too.
I think that’s about it. I thought that maybe after my fic requests were done, I’d be in a fallow period, but even though my pace is slower, I’m still getting bunnies, which is a good thing! :)
I think it helps that I write so many different pairings (and threesomes!). It keeps my Muses fresh. I even wrote Benny/Ray V. of Due South (Rainbow Bridge) recently, and I haven’t written those boys in years!
Back to writing! :)

I know, I know, nothing there about Bruce/Dick! :)
Sadly, those Muses are very back-burner right now, but you know what? Sometimes I'm surprised by what goes on in my head (heh heh) and I wouldn't be surprised if something clicked for those two. In fact, I wrote a hint of them in The Cat And The Canary VI: Dessert" (off-screen and a brief mention, but I used them instead of Clark/Bruce in this instance).
Will we be seeing an update of your slavefic soon? *bats eyes hopefully*

Oddly enough... I'm rather stuck on that fic at the moment. I've got 2 directions for the next chapter to go, and I'm not sure which one to take.

I know! It's the ol' dithering process: what to do? What to do? :)
I'm sure you'll choose a good path!

I kind of want to write the auction from Dick's perspective, but it will be an clear break from the way the first three chapters are written that I'm not sure it will fit.

Date: 2008-07-06 03:43 am (UTC)If you plan on using Dick's POV in this first arc in other chapters, then this chapter would fit.

Date: 2008-07-06 04:20 am (UTC)Good point. So far, most of the perspective has been Clark's, what little there has been of it.
Perhaps, I will save it.
Thanks!

You're welcome! :)
I like Clark's POV so far, and would welcome Bruce's as well. Dick remaining an enigma right now could work better, and then eventually we learn his thoughts down the road.
Whatever way you decide, this story is definitely intriguing! :)

That's because you enjoy inflicting cruel and unusual punishment.... and we happen to be gluttons for punishment. ;)
