"Charade" (Season 9) (Episode 19) (April 23, 2010)
Not a snoozer episode, but nothing that got me excited, either. Unless you count Lois in a Playboy Bunny outfit. ;)
They did go the traditional canon route and have Lois more emotionally attached to the Blur/Superman than to Clark. Always that interesting dynamic there.
You know what, Clark? It’s okay to be selfish sometimes. Actually, it’s quite healthy. Do you really want to be Kal with no human identity or ties but constantly on the job? You tried that once but it didn’t last long. Your mental and emotional health demands you allow yourself to love!
I liked Lois feeling that the Blur gave her something special to be a part of, that it wasn’t all just about her, as her reporter career is.
So she and Clark are fired? Where’s Perry when you need him?
Chloe did make a good point that she and Ollie understood their priorities so it was easier for them to be together. Also, they both know the truth about each other. Lois is at a disadvantage, though there’s something to be said for Clark to be involved with someone who doesn’t know who he is.
Lois’ speech to the Blur after the rescue was pretty good. Some good acting by Erica and Tom in this episode.
I did like the special effects during the rescue.
At least Clark won't trust Zod anymore.
So, only a few more episodes to go?

I hope Charade was the last filler episode, now they have to get back on track en route to the season finale.

I'd love to see him before the show ends. I know we saw him in an early season episode, but The Daily Planet really needs a dedicated editor! :)

With only three eps to go, let's hope so!
