Week 6: New England Patriots 23, Baltimore Ravens 20 (OT) (4-1) (Sunday, October 17, 2010)
Randy who? Deion’s back, baby! ;)
Wow, what a game! At first things were slow, as the offense was out of sync and the defense couldn’t get off the field on third down (they’re the worst in the league with that stat). Then down 10 points in the fourth quarter, the ol’ Brady magic was back! He had started connecting with old friend Deion Branch and Deion really started to get back into the groove. He was the Super Bowl-winning MVP five years ago with the Pats and left the year after because he wanted more money. Now he’s back and it’s like he never left! He and Tom definitely have a chemistry thing going on, and it shone today. :)
The young defense made key stops in the fourth quarter and in overtime, allowing the offense to get down the field and Stephen Gostkowski kicked the winning field goal!
Sure, losing Randy Moss was tough, because he’s a Hall of Fame receiver, and you don’t replace talent like that overnight, but Brady-to-Branch was always a winner, so I think we’ll be okay down the line. :)
It was a wild bye week with Randy being traded to the Vikings and Deion being traded back to New England. Never dull around here! ;)
