Patriots/Jets Tomorrow!

bradygirl_12Yikes! The NFL playoffs are, as usual, crazeee!!! The Saints got knocked off by the 7-9 Seahawks last weekend, and the Steelers and Ravens beat each other up today until the Steelers were the last men standing. If the Pats beat the Jets tomorrow, the Steelers have to come to Foxboro.
Right now the Falcons are losing to the Packers at home! The Falcons had the same record as the Pats, I believe (14-2), or close to it. They were the class of the NFC. Can they survive the divisional round?
Trash talk has been epic this week between New York and New England. Well, from New York, anyway. The Patriots don't publicly talk trash. They save that for the field or after they actually win the game! Though Wes Welker had a clever tweak this week. ;)
The Jets' Antonio Cromartie crossed the line by saying in a public forum: "F*** Brady! He's an a**hole!" That's for the locker room and the field, not public discourse. The Commissioner isn't pleased.
So, let's hope Tom burns Cromartie for a couple of TDs tomorrow. The game is on CBS at 4:30. I'll have to miss the first hour of the Golden Globes Awards, but I hope that Christian and Johnny do well! But even more importantly, I hope Tom and the boys drub the Jets! :)
Funny how when the Pats say one thing (without profanity!) the Jets get all upset when THEY started it and have taken it to a new level, including from their footsie-loving coach!
Boy, envy can eat you up. Tom is regularly insulted on other teams' message boards because he's a winner, good-looking, got a supermodel wife and two healthy baby boys, rich as sin...there are a lot of people out there who hate him for his good fortune. Pathetic little people. *shakes head*

Date: 2011-01-16 09:40 am (UTC)I'm not surprised that the Falcons lost. They have a great record but I saw them play the Saints- they weren't all that impressive. I felt that Rodgers was a stronger QB and Green Bay has a better defense too (not to mention a noteworthy offensive line!).
The trash talk is insane! I hope the Patriots kill the Jets. Honestly, it isn't a surprise that they don't have any class ... look at their coach. I love how Brady responded to Cromartie and was saying how his offensive coordinator and Bellichick have called him that and he knows that they like him so maybe Cromarte really likes him." I died. He's just so classy and amazing.
I thought the guy who threatened to intentionally harm Welker was out of line. You'd think that the stupid Jets would be a bit more humble, considering the beating down they got the last time they played!
Agreed on what people say about Tom. They're just jealous and it shows. Successful teams always have a lot of haters. Also, people who talk a lot tend to lose so I am looking for karma to hit the Jets.

Tom's response was perfect! He's mentioned going into politics after he retires (I hope not. What a slimy profession!) and he's got the politicospeak down pat, so to speak. Heh heh.
Bart Scott threatening Wes is an idiot. NFL players DO try to hurt each other (big surprise!) but they're not stupid enough to announce it. He'll be watched closely.
I hope Tom comes out on top over the jealous Jets! :)
