Big Bang Updates!!! (SuperBat & History) (9/4/11)

Hi, luvs! Very bizzy working on my Big Bangs! :)

I just started writing Chapter 19 for the superbat_bb fic, but have revised and typed all the way up to Chapter 13. I've easily hit the 10,000-word minimum and surpassed it, so the rest is all gravy! :)

The history_bigbang has 13 chapters written and I just started Chapter 14. Only four chapters have been revised/typed so far, simply because superbat_bb has the priority right now since it is due first.

superbat_bb has eight outlined sections, but that sounds more than it is, since a few of the sections are really only a chapter or two. I've started the sixth section, so that means I'll be in the homestretch soon (I hope)!

Poor Mel! In my history_bigbang fic, he's been taking a beating, but rescue is on the way! Hopefully it will go well. If not... ;)

I'm entering the homestretch on that one, too. I think 4-5 chapters might wrap it up, with about 25-30 pages, possibly. I'm more relaxed writing this one simply because the deadline isn't until after the holidays! :)

Damn - I'm officially impressed :) Looking forward to your Historical Big Bang!

I'm scribbling, too - up to pg 71/111. Would probably be a little further, but I kept getting distracted by pretty - finally turned off the TV so I could get some of my own work done!

Is this your PE Epic? I know you were writing it longhand first, too, like I am with this BB.

Yes, it's the PE epic sequel that still doesn't have a title. *sigh* It's on the computer - the longhand was just for MW and for quick notes on the bus. It's actually going a lot faster this way - I'm still trying for the end of the year for this. If none of them turn into drama queens and I don't get distracted by other pretty it just might happen. *cross fingers*

And Carter? Is there Carter? I know I'll like it if he's not there (because I like most everything you do) but I'll like it more if there's Carter :)

Still no title? Tsk, tsk! ;) Maybe you could reference glass in some way? I know I remember from your notes at MW that the suite they have will have a lot of glass knickknacks and furniture? Very Art Deco. :) You know, something like 'Shattered' or 'Prisms' or something if it fits with your story. Carter might be considered the most fragile of them (like glass) because of his emotional insecurities and handicap, but if he saves the day, a 'glass' title might be ironic, for instance. Just a thought! :)

There will be Carter! :) He will play an important part in this story. At first he is ambivalent because of Mel's betrayal of the Bureau, but he never loses his loyalty.

Oh, and there will be food. ;)

Glass reference - honestly didn't even think of that angle (I was leaning toward "Family" but that's the title to at least a bajillion other stories so I was hoping something else came to mind) Or maybe something with his ring - the diamonds? Not TOO worried - I didn't have a title for Doubts until the very end but I'm getting tired of referring to is as the PE sequel with no title, you know?

Thank you for the suggestion, sweetie - they say writing is such a solitary process, but sometimes it helps to have someone to bounce things off of! Makes me wish you lived closer! *HUG*

Food as a Brady staple suits me just fine! ;)

I like the thought about the diamonds. That does symbolize the four of them, as Mel explained to Carter. That Mel is so inventive! ;)

Maybe 'Facets' might be a good title. Or 'Diamond Hearts' or something that will reference their solid union, unbreakable as diamonds. :)

At least in this modern age we have e-mail and other ways to communicate! :)

I find that bouncing things off people works very well. Sometimes you're just too close to a project to see the forest for the trees. ;)

I've been working on both Big Bangs today, typing up chapters and writing in the notebook. I think I'll have both finished in a few weeks if all goes well. :)
