Hi, luvs! I haven't been on as much lately (bizzy and technical issues) but luckily my flist has been pretty quiet, I see. Everyone in the doldrums, eh? ;)

Yesterday Tom and the boys got a grand send-off at Gillette Stadium with 25,000 people filling the place and hanging out where the buses were to see the team. There were quick speeches and everyone was in suits (though Brandon Spikes wore a pink suit, heh heh) because this is a business trip for the Patriots, though they'll have fun.

For a few guys, including Tom, this is the fifth go-round and for others it's a lot less, even their first time ever. Shaun Ellis was a long-time Jet and now is with us and is going to the Super Bowl! I'm pretty sure the Jets haven't been back since 1969 and the famous Joe Namath Prediction Win. ;)

Brian Waters was with Kansas City until this year and is going for the first time, too. He never even won a playoff game before this year and he played for the Chiefs for a long time.

The day was cold and clear and the fans were pumped. Gronk wasn't seen at the rally, keeping speculation about his ankle up there, but he was seen at the airport and in Indy and is wearing a walking boot. Hopefully he can make a contribution next Sunday. High ankle sprains are a pain to heal.

People here are wearing their gear and businesses are hanging out signs praising the Patriots. Everyone is talking about them and does bring everyone together regardless of class, occupation, etc.

Go, Pats! ;)

Good luck to your team! For awhile I was dragging my feet about who to root for, given what Tom and the guys did to Broncos. The way so many commentators carry on like the Patriots don't have a chance, that Eli's got it all over Brady (Seriously? What are they smoking?), however, have this AFC girl in the Patriots corner.

I have been thinking the same thing - like "Where is everyone???"

It's going to be a great game to watch, if for just the beautiful men in tight pants - LOl!
Good luck to your team...Me and the D man have a tradition that if the Raiders aren't in the Super Bowl we go skiing - needless to say we've spent the day for many years now on the slopes!

I read about the send off and it's just so exciting. I saw the interview with Brady on NBC during the half time show of the pro bowl. He was awesome as always and I am really hoping Gronk can play. I'm just going to be so bouncy all week though.

One of our family friends is hosting a Superbowl party and they're from Boston so they're all huge Patriots fans. So your team getting some support from our side of the country too. ;D

It was with Bob Costas and it wasn't too long but he was cute. Apparently, he was sitting in Rodney Harrison's seat and he had asked Bob if he could insult everyone too. XD

Yay, a Boston party! I'm going to a very small gathering at my sister's. Can't have distractions! ;)
Oh yeah, I understand. We're not even going. Only my mom for a short while to be polite. My sister and I decided we can't leave our house for the game, lol. XD

People are always going to hate and they clearly don't know what they're talking about. You don't win 3 Superbowl rings and get to 5 by being a wuss. Just because he's pretty, it doesn't mean he isn't tough! ;) At least we know better.

Oh, speaking of the Patriots, I don't know if you saw this but I saw this post full of Patriots icons and I thought of you. It's here. :D
