Now for something a little different! *cue the harp music* ;)
BradyGirl_12 DCU Challenges A03 Collection
Subcollection (2012)
The complete Master List (on LJ) is here.
What am I looking for with this Challenge? Here are some prompts:
Traditional Angels (You know, the wings and harps and fluffy clouds, the Angels Gabriel and Michael, Castiel from Supernatural, etc. Your favorite characters as angels in AUs or because of magic or other means.)
Angel (Characters with the name)
Angel (Conscience—you know, the cartoon angel on one shoulder and the devil on the other. ;) )
Angel Dust (The street drug or use it as a cousin to pixie dust or something magical.)
Angel Food Cake
Angel Hair Pasta (What’s a BradyGirl_12 Challenge without some food somewhere? ;) )
The Angel Of Death
Angel Of Mercy
Angel On My Shoulder (The title of a 1946 film about the deal between a dead man and the devil but you can use this title in any way to fit your fanwork. If you’re curious about the film, read about it here.)
Angel (Term of Endearment. Example: Steve’s nickname for Diana.)
Angel Wings ("Every time a bell rings, an angel gets his wings." ;) )
Blue Angel(s) (The Marlene Dietrich film or the U.S. military fighter jet pilots)
Earth Angel (The Penguins’ hit song from the ‘50s. Or no connection to the song at all, any interpretation of the term. Could make for some interesting fanworks!)
Fallen Angel
Guardian Angel (Actual angel guardianship, or characters in that role: Clark watching over Bruce, Batman watching over Gotham, etc.)
Hell's Angels
Snow Angel (C’mon, it’s fun to make angels in the snow! ;) )
Warrior Angel (Smallville fans will recognize Lex’s favorite comic book character. Or you could use it for Diana or in any other way that fits the prompt. ;) )
So, use these prompts or anything else you can come up with that fits the theme. Songs, movies, TV shows, angelic expressions…it’s all good! ;)
The Usual Suspects:
Genres: Humor, fluff, drama, adventure, hurt/comfort, AUs, slavefics/arts, etc. Everything and anything!
Characters/Pairings/Threesomes/Moresomes: Gen, het, slash and femslash. (Cross-overs with other fandoms welcome as long as the DCU gets equal 'screen time’.
Continuity: Comicsverse, movieverse, ‘toonverse, TVverse (Don't forget Smallville!).
Ratings: All ratings, from G all the way to NC-17.
Posting dates: March 1-December 31, 2012 (No late entries will be accepted for this Challenge due to the ten-month posting window.)
Cross-challenging welcome, so if you can fit your work into more than one Challenge, go for it! (Don't forget Angelic Dick for the 2012 DCU Fic/Art Dick Grayson Challenge! ;) )
Please post the header & link to your work here on this page and I’ll compile a Master List.
ctbn60 has created a gorgeous banner! :)

Date: 2012-02-25 04:38 am (UTC)Hmm, I wonder if there are circumstances that could bring Aziraphale and Crowley to Gotham? Except I do not have the guts to attempt Good Omens fic. Hmm. Bummer.
I shall ponder and see if it anything takes off. At least there's a nice long time to work at it!
(P.S. I finally got to see Public Enemies! And I loved it!)

LOL! Keep thinking! ;)

Yep, I figured that the theme could handle the rest of the year for a timeframe. :)
(P.S. I finally got to see Public Enemies! And I loved it!)
Yay! I'm so glad to hear that! I thought you'd end up loving it. :)
Did the jail scene spark any slashy ideas? ;)

Date: 2012-02-25 05:53 am (UTC)Oh yes, it did. Of course it's meant to simply be them sizing each other up, as it were, but then that's exactly the sort of thing that sets off our slashdar, isn't it?
I wish they had more screen time together, though. No fresh inspiration at the moment, but you never know. Wanting more screen time between them could be just the right catalyst to kick off something. :)
Oh, I had to laugh at the press conference scene where Hoover introduces Mel, and Clyde Tolson shoots Mel this green-eyed envy look!

Exactly! ;) The chemistry absolutely sizzled between the two of them. It's a great spark for slash writers! :)
I wish they had more screen time together, though.
Me, too!

Ha, true! I think that's why
Oh, I had to laugh at the press conference scene where Hoover introduces Mel, and Clyde Tolson shoots Mel this green-eyed envy look!
*grins*
For a character with no lines at all, the actor conveyed his feelings quite well. :)
Can you imagine what Clyde must have felt when Hoover said, "And tell him that he can call me Jayee"?

I'm glad to see your entry! We need more Smallville, especially Clex! If you get any more ideas, keep 'em comin'! ;)
Re: Didn't see any word limits, min or max, so...
Date: 2012-03-03 10:49 pm (UTC)Thank you! *g* Well, since the vast majority of my writings are Smallville and usually Clex, I'll see if I can't swing another one or two here and there, then:) --Though I think this challenge may also be begging for a SV Hawkman/Hawkgirl Justice Society piece at some point ^_^

Question: Would a crossover be all right?
Something popped into my head out of the blue, to do a DCU (well, the Batman and Superman part of it anyway) xover with the book Good Omens. No idea if I can even write for Aziraphale and Crowley, but the more this idea stews, the more I'm liking it.
