Week 5: Cincinnati Bengals 13, New England Patriots 6 (4-1) (Sunday, October 6, 2013)

Awful game. The offense couldn't do diddly-squat. Tom's record of throwing at least one touchdown pass per game ended at 52, two short of tying Drew Brees' record of 54. Dreadful, awful, putrid.

The defense had some key stops but still missed Big Vince clogging up the middle. They're going to have to work their fannies off to replace him even halfway!

Tom was not sharp. Just terrible all around!

So goes the unbeaten season. The Bills lost Thursday and the Dolphins lost today. The Jets will play tomorrow night in Atlanta.*

On a happier note, the Red Sox won 7-4 yesterday at Fenway behind two Big Papi home runs and now lead Tampa Bay 2-0 in the best-of-five ALDS. They meet again tomorrow night in Tampa Bay.

We got the Colts/Seahawks here but we were checking score updates and I just couldn't believe how badly the game was going. I really thought they were improving, especially after watching them play last Sunday against Atlanta, and with Amendola back, I figured it'd be good. :\

I'm relieved that Miami lost at least. BTW, that makes them 3-2, as they lost to the Saints last Monday. But they need to step up their game and get prepared. I hope Gronk returns next week. They need him.

I watched that slog of a game and couldn't believe it. >:(

Thanks for the catch on Miami! I'm juggling too much stuff in my head right now. ;)

I hope Gronk will be effective after so much time out. He's a great player but kind of brittle now. A pity. Injuries will derail a career quicker than bad play.
