Week 2: Miami Dolphins 24, New England Patriots 17 (0-2) (Sunday, September 17, 2023)

Another mixed bag. The defense this week wasn't as sharp, and the offense was the same old inconsistent. They dug themselves a hole yet again and expended most of their energy on catching up and didn't have enough to actually win.

They play the Jets next, and if they can't beat a Jets team without Aaron Rodgers even if it is on the road, they're in trouble. Sure, it's only Week 3, but football isn't like the other sports. You don't have a lot of games, and if you dig a deep enough hole...

The Dolphins and Bills won, and the Patriots and Jets lost.

Miami 2-0

BUFF 1-1

NYJ 1-1

NE 0-2

I saw the game and it was tough to see yet another winnable game just slip right through their fingers. As you said, they can't keep getting that much behind and try to come back and the turnovers were killer. My sister and I were really confused to see it happen in multiple games, since that is something that wasn't expected from them.

They definitely need a win against the Jets. Apparently, they have the hardest schedule this year so it won't get any easier. :\

Very true about the hardest schedule! Figures.

Their major problems are mistakes/penalties and inconsistency. And that deep hole!

Should be interesting to see if they can correct any of this during the game with the Jets.
