I had some fun with this! :)

I divided up New Year's and Christmas because the day before and the day of can have a different feel to them, and I mixed in a few non-American holidays, but did leave the 'Other' option for other American and non-American holidays if you'd like to share. ;)

I think you can guess at least one of my favorites. ;)

Ooh, I just realized why I was a bit puzzled when answering - Easter is missing and its one of my favorites because its around my birthday so we have a combination celebration.

I only really have one - Easter. Because of the bunnies, you know... ;) It seems to be missing from the poll though, so I picked "other". Other holidays I don't care for so much - most of them center around family which just depresses me very much...

I dunno.. Halloween always seemed like it was made for kids - and as an adult I just wish I was a kid again, so I could find the fun in it, like I did when I was young.

Seriously, most holidays just depress the heck out of me... :( Maybe that's a sign that I'm not terribly happy, huh? ;)

Chalk another one up for Easter! Four days off which aren't eaten up with family obligations. Cheap chocolate afterwards.

I voted New Years Eve, so my other favourite holiday would be Boxing Day. The stress and drama of Christmas is over, the house is empty, the fridge is full of leftovers and if you played your cards right you have a shiny new toy to play with (or alternatively, if you didn't, you can hit up the chaos of the boxing day sales).

I picked only Halloween because it's so far ahead of the others in terms of "favorite" that the others might as well not exist.
My next favorite holiday would have to be Memorial Day, because (when I'm working) it gives me a three day weekend near my birthday. Plus I go to Chicago to meet up with friends every year on that weekend.

I picked only one -- St Patrick's Day. I'm not Irish, or of Irish descent, but always had a Hibernian streak in me. True, most people treat the day as license to get drunk in public. For me it's a chance to reconnect with the things I love about Ireland and its culture. Starting with attending an early mass, then watching the parade, checking out the Irish and non-Irish gather to celebrate the craic, listening to traditional and popular Irish music, eating my share of corned beef and cabbage with my favourite alcoholic drink, struggling with Gaelic phrases, and then listening to the older generation as they recount what life was like for them. There's nothing like learning about history from elders, who impart a much richer viewpoint on events than textbooks ever will. One of these days, I'm absolutely going to make a privilege to the Emerald Isle.

Ironically, where others have clamored for Easter as a favorite, when I converted from Christianity to Paganism, Easter was the first thing I gave up. XD Now I don't even know when it's even coming up unless I see the candy and bunnies in the store. :p And yet, I love Christmas like crazy. Ah, generalization of concepts, I love it.

I unfortunately might need to drop out of it. D: My computer crashed and I lost my fanfiction ....so I don't know if I will be able to re-write all that I had before. I still have what I sent you in email, but that's it. D:

Thanks
Megan

Only three?

Well then Halloween (more for the Samhain part actually) of course and Yule and Imbolc http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Imbolic

I enjoy each and every holiday especially those I can spent with the entire family.

Strangely I never cared much for Easter / Ostara since that's usually around my brothers and mine birthday March 21.

I guess that's because in all the Ostara preparations our birthday got somewhat sidetracked.
