I had some fun with this! :)
I divided up New Year's and Christmas because the day before and the day of can have a different feel to them, and I mixed in a few non-American holidays, but did leave the 'Other' option for other American and non-American holidays if you'd like to share. ;)

Date: 2009-10-18 09:05 am (UTC)My next favorite holiday would have to be Memorial Day, because (when I'm working) it gives me a three day weekend near my birthday. Plus I go to Chicago to meet up with friends every year on that weekend.

Date: 2009-10-18 05:53 pm (UTC)I like Memorial Day. My sister was born on the old Memorial Day (May 30th) and now I go to Media*West every year, so it's like a big fannish party! :)
It's also a good time to reflect on people's sacrifices, too.
