I had a lot of fun with the first poll that I posted awhile ago, and I learned a quite a bit about what genres people liked in my writing.
I'm now curious about the pairings that I write and people's interest in them. Since if I had chosen to ask you to select one pair, I figured Clark/Bruce would run away with it, due to their popularity and the number of stories I've written that feature them, and while I don't mind them being so popular, I'd learn more with giving you the option of voting for up to four pairings if that many choices please you, and would be fair to pairings that have less stories written by me. :) So, this is basically about finding out your interest in how I write these pairings, which may not match up with your favorites in general.
All the pairings are those who have starred in their own stories.
All the pairings are DC couples with the exception of Steve/Tony (Captain America/Iron Man from the Marvel Universe). I count Smallville Clex as DC. :)
'Other' is given as one of the four choices so that if there is a couple/threesome) that intrigued you that is not listed, you can vote for them. I'd love to have you comment on which couple you're thinking of. Perhaps they were mentioned briefly or in a scene that supported another couple's story.
And even if you don't choose 'Other', I'm always interested in your comments! :)
Thank you, and have fun! :)

Date: 2008-03-24 04:57 am (UTC)That said, however, I enjoyed your Clark/Bruce/Dick fic and I will happily read that threesome anytime the fic can be fair and equal to all three men. But, I am also overly sensitive and overly emotional. *heh*

Date: 2008-03-24 05:10 am (UTC)Balancing threesomes are certainly difficult, Silver! :)
In my Clark/Bruce/Dick story, I did try to give everyone equal time. :) And, in fact, the only reason Bruce and Clark were already established was because of Dick's age. Once he turned eighteen, he was going to become an equal partner!
With my inordinate love for Dick Grayson (easily favoring him over the other two, no offense to either Bruce or Clark), this usually makes me steer clear of said threesome.
You're preaching to the choir about absolute love for our Little Bird! ;)

Absolutely! When I write a threesome I'm always interested in the balance. For purposes of conflict there might be an imbalance at first, but generally I go the route of partners trying to figure out where they fit in and ultimately fitting together.
I do have my own theory that even if Clark and Bruce were lovers and Dick was not part of that, that even if he died Bruce would be so shattered that it might destroy his relationship with Clark. It's just something that's stuck in my head: whether Dick is lover or not, his death would send Bruce reeling.
So, ultimately, Dick is extremely important in my fic whether he is part of the threesome or not.
And I've always maintained that it's never been just the World's Finest duo but the World's Finest trio! ;)

Date: 2008-03-24 06:22 am (UTC)I think Dick's death would shatter Bruce regardless of their relationship, as well. Dick is such an enormous and intrinsic part of Bruce's character development and definition, so I agree.
Like I said, threesomes are usually a tough nut to crack unless one is going for isolation on one character's part, which is why I was so pleased with how you handled the fic prompt of Clark and Bruce waiing for Dick to come of age.

Date: 2008-03-30 04:01 am (UTC)The menage a trois thing is definitely a great subject for figuring out how it came about. We're so used to two-only in our society that a threesome definitely need to work out the kinks, so to speak. ;)

In current canon, Bruce loves all his children, but there's something special between him and Dick, no matter how estranged they are.

Never let it be said that Superman and Batman don't have patience for things worth waiting for! ;)

You never know! ;) I've tried reading some pairings I'm not familiar with if the story sounded especially good and sometimes I've been hooked! But being Clark-centric is understandable to the max! :)
I'm very happy you enjoy my Clark stories! :)

Date: 2008-03-25 06:34 pm (UTC)Excellent choice! :)
I like it because of the love between them and they also are each are vulnerable, physically and emotionally. They are two halves that make a whole.
They need each other like the air they breathe.
I am just the opposite of some, Smallville never aired here, and I have never gotten on the Superman bandwagon. I like the Bats and Arrows for their humanity and vulnerability physically and emotionally. If they get hurt it tugs at your heart because they are like us and they could die. Superman loses it for me because he is invulnerable and I have never forgiven him for stabbing Batman in the back and kicking him out of the league when he started it by giving him the KRing years ago.
I agree with the Arrows' and Bats' vulnerability, but Clark is vulnerable in other ways: emotional, for one. And I've always found that a man of such power choosing to use his powers for good instead of conquest to be fascinating. :)
As for the JLA thing, I think Clark was in a very hard place and any choice he made would have been fraught with danger and possibly betrayal.
As for the K-Ring, Clark gave that to Bruce. It wasn't a secret as I believe Bruce kept his files from the JLA.
But, everyone has their opinions and it's variety that makes this fandom a great one! :)
BTW, I like all your other pairings though. :D
Thank you! Glad to hear it! :)
