Hi, darlings! It's a crisp, colorful autumn day here and I've been productive this week writing-wise. I've finished up some details on my FFP fanfic and am waiting for them to get the edits back to me. *sighs* Working with a start-up can be frustrating! It doesn't look as if the trilogy will be ready for the Christmas buying season at this rate, which is very disappointing. I also worked on my other profic this week and will start researching places that I might submit that manuscript.

For fanfic,I just finished placing [livejournal.com profile] ctbn60's art on my [livejournal.com profile] dcu_bang story. My last item on the checklist is to see if the art fits into LJ entries. I'll try that this weekend. With dial-up, you have to be in the mood to wrestle with this! :)

I have a nice queue of stories you'll be seeing with another Halloween story as one of the fics ready to go! :)

I started my Bruce/Dick AU that I've decided not to plan ahead on at all. Usually if I have a project in mind I do plan things out. This time I decided to go and see where it led me. I'm going to do my research at a leisurely pace (I've already started) and have written about 1200 words so far. If the story becomes Big Bang-length, I may consider it submitting it to [livejournal.com profile] dcu_bang next year. If not, I'll just post it when I'm ready. And if I'm still working on it and miss the deadline, so be it! No stress, no pressure, no deadlines! Though if for some crazy reason I finish a Big Bang-length fic long before [livejournal.com profile] dcu_bang does sign-ups, I may just post on my own. That's of course if the mods do [livejournal.com profile] dcu_bang again next year. Who knows? [livejournal.com profile] dark_fest was hosted for several years and then, poof!, nothing this year. So I'd say planning too far ahead for Big Bangs isn't too productive. So we'll see where this takes me. So far I'm having a blast writing this! :)

Hope all is well with you and those Halloween ideas are bubbling! ;)

Hi, luvs! Life has been terribly bizzy and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future, so don't expect me to be on-line as much as in the past. :) But I still have some time every day to check my mail and flist, and to slip in a few fics now and then on the ol' journal. ;)

As far as profic goes, the work is slow because it's been expanded, and FFP is a start-up with its own fits and starts. I thank everyone who are still interested. I hope that publication will be this year but who knows in the crazy publishing business? Anyway, I'm getting valuable experience.

Anticipation is half the fun, and that's what I'm feeling for Iron Man 3, The Great Gatsby and Star Trek 2: Into Darkness for the month of May. I expect nothing! I've been disappointed too many times in the past but have high hopes for at least Iron Man 3. I'm also anticipating Man Of Steel (very nervous about that one!), Thor 3: The Dark World, and The Lone Ranger. I'll consider Man Of Steel an Elseworld, like Smallville. My blood pressure will thank me! :)

Happily anticipating Captain America: The Winter Soldier, too, but I don't think that's due out 'til next year. I remember reading the comics as a kid and wanting to hug poor Cap, who mourned over Bucky, his best pal. Probably survivor's guilt mixed in with his PTSD, though they didn't call it PTSD at the time. I'll admit that I 'shipped Steve/Bucky as much as Steve/Tony way before any of the movies. :)

I'm not sure what to expect with The Lone Ranger. Frankly, it looks kind of weird. It's a sure bet that you'll have to throw out any notions of the old TV shows and movies with Clayton Moore and Jay Silverheels. A pity that the 1981 remake bombed so badly and now this one could do the same, but hopefully they'll rein in Johnny Depp and the film will be coherent. :)

Nice weather lately, with that special light you only get in April. I walked home from a meeting on Wednesday night and enjoyed seeing the full moon in all its glory.

Hope you're enjoying the fanfics I'm posting! I'm working my way through a batch that have been in my notebooks for quite awhile. :)

Hi, luvs! I thought I'd do a little pimping for ForbiddenFiction since I'm part of the authors' list now. Besides, I can honestly say I would anyway because I see some really cool stuff over there! ;)

Here is the link to the Story Catalog and here is the link to Coming Soon. I already see some novels or short stories that I find of interest.

That leads me to a few questions: what original fiction do you enjoy reading? What are your genres in general that you like and do you have any specific authors or titles that really speak to you?

And if you'd like to throw in any non-fiction titles or authors that appeal to you, have at it! :)

My tastes )

Hi, guys! It's been crazy around here lately, including the profic side of things. :) I've been doing a major edit of the manuscript for ForbiddenFiction for the past few weeks and finally am seeing some light at the end of the tunnel, at least for this go-round. I'm so energized with my writing lately! And that includes fanfic, though most of my stuff is pretty much already written and just needs revising/typing/posting. You'll be seeing more of that as time marches on.

Rainbow's Freedom fans, you'll see a steady posting of the remainder of the final arc, and for those following The Princess And The Pilot VII: From The Sky, more of that, too! ;)

Ah, the joys of editing! I'm used to editing fanfic, my own and others', but there's something about a pro manuscript that requires even more attention to detail. Good thing I have so much experience from my years of writing fanfic! The Big Bangs were a big help as I learned that I could write boatloads of words in a tight timeframe instead of at my own pace. I'll need that experience!

I'll be blogging over at FFP, too, under my pen name of Jeannie O'Reilly, and the new site will hopefully be on-line soon. Right now it's kind of a beta site as they work behind the scenes to re-design things and get new features installed. Some pretty cool stuff available over there already! :)

I like the fannish mindset of what they're looking for: erotica with PLOT!!! :)

Happy Patriots' Day! The Boston Marathon is over and so is the Red Sox-Rays game. Sadly, the Sox lost but the Kenyans won both men's and women's races. No surprise there! :)
