Hi, luvs! You know me, pretty quick with replies to comments and comments on other people's work? Quick with updating Challenges?

Well, things may be slower for awhile. Not only is it hit-or-miss with posting (LJ!) but with the House Project and my manuscript edits DUE IN TWO WEEKS (Yikes!) I might not be as quick as a bunny for the time being. You should see the kajillion lists I have for everything!

So don't worry, fannish stuff will get done, but maybe not as fast as you're used to seeing by me. I guess it's a good thing [livejournal.com profile] dark_fest doesn't seem to be viable this year. Anyone know anything? I PM'ed the mods a few weeks ago but haven't heard from them. Oh, well, if it's not on, that spares me a lot of time that I need to use for other things, disappointing as it may be.

See ya later! ;)

Hi, luvs! October looks to be a bizzy month! In addition to profic, my fanfic list looks like this:

1. Work on my Steve/Tony [livejournal.com profile] marvel_bang fic. I just got my beta copy back. :) My posting date is November 16th.

2. Start posting my multi-chapter TDKR Halloween story for my 2012 DCU Fic/Art Halloween Challenge and [livejournal.com profile] saavikam77's 2012 DCU Free_For_All Autumn Challenge.

3. Continue writing the first draft of my Clex story for the [livejournal.com profile] clexmas 2012 Super Sexy Scary Challenge. Posting date: October 31st.

4. Start writing my story for the 2012 Bruce/Dick Fest. BTW, prompts are being claimed now! My story is due by November 15th and posting begins on November 20th.

5. Start thinking up what prompts to send for the 2012 World's Finest Gift Exchange! :)

6. Post my two essays for [livejournal.com profile] superhero_muses.

You know how I said I wasn't going to sign up for a Big Bang this year? Yeah, I did! *facepalms* It was killing me to see all these great Big Bangs announcing sign-up times and me with no time or ideas until I got one for the [livejournal.com profile] marvel_bang. I've been writing Steve/Tony for the past month, anyway, and managed to get 2,000 words already scribbled, so here I go! Just signed up! Oh, and there will be Natasha/Pepper, too! ;)

Hi, guys! Sometimes I think the universe hates me. I sat down to open my manuscript and got a message saying "The document name or path is not valid" which means I can't access the file! I didn't do anything to it that was anything different, believe me. Luckily I can open it in Word Pad (This is Microsoft Office 2000 we're talking about for the missing file) and will have to re-type all my changes for the last week. *sighs*

Is there any way to recover the original file? It was fine just this afternoon! I did a search for the file but I just get the same message. Is it hiding somewhere or is it truly gone?

It also said to "Check the file permissions for document or drive" or use the File Open dialog box. I used the dialog box but got the same message when trying to open the file. What does check the file permissions mean?

Hi, guys! It's been crazy around here lately, including the profic side of things. :) I've been doing a major edit of the manuscript for ForbiddenFiction for the past few weeks and finally am seeing some light at the end of the tunnel, at least for this go-round. I'm so energized with my writing lately! And that includes fanfic, though most of my stuff is pretty much already written and just needs revising/typing/posting. You'll be seeing more of that as time marches on.

Rainbow's Freedom fans, you'll see a steady posting of the remainder of the final arc, and for those following The Princess And The Pilot VII: From The Sky, more of that, too! ;)

Ah, the joys of editing! I'm used to editing fanfic, my own and others', but there's something about a pro manuscript that requires even more attention to detail. Good thing I have so much experience from my years of writing fanfic! The Big Bangs were a big help as I learned that I could write boatloads of words in a tight timeframe instead of at my own pace. I'll need that experience!

I'll be blogging over at FFP, too, under my pen name of Jeannie O'Reilly, and the new site will hopefully be on-line soon. Right now it's kind of a beta site as they work behind the scenes to re-design things and get new features installed. Some pretty cool stuff available over there already! :)

I like the fannish mindset of what they're looking for: erotica with PLOT!!! :)

Happy Patriots' Day! The Boston Marathon is over and so is the Red Sox-Rays game. Sadly, the Sox lost but the Kenyans won both men's and women's races. No surprise there! :)

It's a bright, sunny spring day, so naturally let's celebrate the first day of [livejournal.com profile] dark_fest posting! ;)

One of today's first entries, Welcome Home, was written for one of my prompts and [livejournal.com profile] rijsg has done a fantastic job! I would NOT recommend reading the prompt in the header (it's grayed out) because it's very spoilery, but it's not about rape or sexual abuse or anything like that. Of course you make your own decision, but if you want the full impact, I wouldn't read it.

The story is a Batman tale and features several of the Bat-villains. If you like what you read, make sure to leave the author a comment! :)

Now you'll know how my mind works. ;)

EDIT: The grayed-out prompt is only in the header at [livejournal.com profile] dark_fest, not on [livejournal.com profile] rijsg's journal. I still wouldn't read it! ;)

Hi, luvs! Get ready next week for a BUNCH of Fest and Big Bang posts from me. I know, I said this already but I'm getting things squared away for the special posts. My [livejournal.com profile] history_bigbang story has some FANTASTIC artwork by [livejournal.com profile] mella68, so I hope you'll take a look! :)

I'm excited that [livejournal.com profile] dark_fest posting begins next week! Not only will I be posting my two masterpieces (ha, ha!) but I'm eager to see how many of my prompts that were claimed get filled. I was really inspired! ;)

Quickie note: [livejournal.com profile] queer_fest is open for claiming so get on over there and take a look! I finally claimed one and it's already started in my notebook. I still have time before April 2nd to claim another if I decide to go ahead.

Hi, luvs! After New Year’s I’ll be posting my annual Fic Tally: number of stories, word count, what pairings I wrote most or least, etc. I’ll also be ruminating on my writing goals for the past year and looking forward. First, though, a few thoughts on the Challenges I host:

Thinky thoughts )

Thanks to all who participate in these Challenges! I wouldn’t host them if people didn’t enjoy them, so I’m tickled pink that people have fun! And many thanks to all who have made banners for each Challenge, especially [livejournal.com profile] ctbn60 who has done yeoman’s work the last few years.

Well, tomorrow I'll either be on the computer quite a bit or not at all, depending on the electricity situation. Instead of listening to the wind howl upstairs, I'd rather be down here keeping my mind off things, but if Mother Nature says otherwise, I've got my flashlight, candles, matches, notebooks, pens, and pencils. :)

So, what’s on my plate currently, not counting old stuff waiting in the Queue of Doom?

[livejournal.com profile] dcu_freeforall prompts: now that I finally posted an update, six more to go!

[livejournal.com profile] smallvillebbang: The first draft is finished and being beta-read (26,000+ words).

[livejournal.com profile] superbat_bb: First draft being written (Probably will end up between 15,000 and 20,000 words).

[livejournal.com profile] history_bigbang: First draft being written (Will make the minimum of 10,000 words to be sure).

Rainbow’s Freedom (Rainbow Prisms Arc): I’ve finally begun posting Arc 8, though I’m not sure if it’ll go fast or slow for now (How many words? Goddess only knows! Easily 50,000 for this arc alone, I’d estimate, and probably more).

Three DC ficlets as voted on in two polls! ;) One is Clark/Dick, one Bruce/Dick, and one Steve/Diana.

Letting ideas simmer for a sequel to the Public Enemies tale, Gay Chicago I: The Purple Peacock.

I just committed to a zine project so moving it onto the plate!
