( The courtyard was filled with red and white poinsettias, Roman and Greek sculptures framed by Italianate marble and stone, the upper balcony opening onto the second floor. Small waterfalls emptied into stone basins and pools. )

( Dick sat cross-legged before the fire, gazing up at the giant Christmas tree. The ornaments and silver and gold garlands glittered in the firelight, reflected back by Dick’s shining eyes. )

After an early start, things are picking up again for the 2009 DCU Fic/Art Glitter Winter Holidays Challenge! It appears that the Batfamily is well-suited to the holiday, as they are in every entry so far. :)
