Summary: Wraith-like sirens invade Steve’s dreams, trying to lure him back into the ice. During his waking hours, he and the Avengers are fighting another invasion of Manhattan, this time by giant, Hulk-like figures. During the battle, Pepper, a convalescent Coulson, and a S.H.I.E.L.D. nurse are stuck in an elevator at Avengers Tower.
Can the beautiful owner of a mysterious antique shop help them fight the invaders and also prevent Steve from succumbing to the sirens?

They were rock-like creatures with solid muscle mass, their footsteps making the earth shake. People took one look and ran off screaming, for which Cap couldn’t blame them. )

Hi, luvs! October looks to be a bizzy month! In addition to profic, my fanfic list looks like this:

1. Work on my Steve/Tony marvel_bang fic. I just got my beta copy back. :) My posting date is November 16th.

2. Start posting my multi-chapter TDKR Halloween story for my 2012 DCU Fic/Art Halloween Challenge and saavikam77's 2012 DCU Free_For_All Autumn Challenge.

3. Continue writing the first draft of my Clex story for the clexmas 2012 Super Sexy Scary Challenge. Posting date: October 31st.

4. Start writing my story for the 2012 Bruce/Dick Fest. BTW, prompts are being claimed now! My story is due by November 15th and posting begins on November 20th.

5. Start thinking up what prompts to send for the 2012 World's Finest Gift Exchange! :)

6. Post my two essays for superhero_muses.

Whew, I just finished typing the first draft of my marvel_bang story! Huzzah! It clocked in (so far) at 19,576 words, just shy of 20,000. I'll give it a quick once-over and then send it off to my beta, whoo hoo! :)

Hi, luvs! Life has been bizzy lately but at least productive! :) My nighttime computer time has been cut into by the Olympics but I've been keeping up by writing in my notebooks. I'm mainly working on my marvel_bang story, which typed is up to 12,000+ words with more to be typed from my notebook and at least two more chapters to be written. Apparently I can't write a Big Bang less than 20,000 words. *headdesks*

I've been still hanging out at avengerkink and keeping up fairly well with it, though I only discovered it when Round 7 opened, so I haven't even read through the first six rounds. I am caught up to Round 10, though, and two of my prompts have been filled! One was filled on the tdkr_kink meme and a fine one it was, too! This meme is a lot easier to keep up with as Avengers fandom is so much bigger than TDKR fandom. Also, avengerkink fills up 5,000 comments per round very quickly, while TDKR goes up only to 3,000, and still is on Round 1, though it's getting close to finished.

A reminder that the 2012 DCU Fic/Art Angels Challenge runs 'til the end of the year with no late entries accepted due to the long posting window (all year!). Maybe you can cross-challenge with the Halloween Challenge when I finally post that. Look for that in the next week! :)

Finally, fans of Public Enemies will delight in the scenes that Christian Bale and Marion Cotillard have together in The Dark Knight Rises. Their one scene in PE was an intense one, and they have more of the same in TDKR. Johnny would approve! ;)

Also, a tidbit that amused/delighted me a few days ago: when NBC was broadcasting the retrospective to the U.S. gymnastics team winning gold in '96 because of Kerri Struggs' courageous vault, the background music sounded familiar to me. I squeed when I realized that it was the music used in the Biograph Theater scene in Public Enemies! Good, dramatic notes to fit that story of Olympic heroism.

I’m not sure if I’ll be hosting a new Challenge this summer but if not, there’s always the Halloween Challenge that will be posted in August and set to begin in September. ;) I will probably keep the same format as the abundance of prompts seems to work very well. I haven’t decided whether or not to host the same Challenge for Public Enemies fandom. I would love to see more than just a few people participate! C’mon, Fedora Fans, start writing!
