The Movie's almost here! Enjoy some WW links: (Considering how men have excluded women for centuries in their private and public lives, I'd say one evening of 'women-only' won''t hurt them. I also like the idea someone suggested about charging women 85% of the ticket price, reflecting the gender wage gap.)

Enjoy this video ad that played during Supergirl's finale (Nevertheless, She Persisted 2x22) featuring Kara and Alex, the American President (Lynda Carter) and Daxamite Queen Rhea (Teri Hatcher) Boy, Supergirl's America is a lot luckier than us when it comes to the White House! :)

My 2017 DCU Fic/Art Wonder Woman Diamond Anniversary Challenge coming tomorrow! :)

Ready for our Amazing Amazon? :)

I'll be hosting my final BradyGirl_12 Challenge on [community profile] wonderwomanlove and Wonderwomanlove (LJ), my comms dedicated to the Amazing Amazon. Check 'em out and join up! Truly, history will be made with the release of this film, and hopefully we've got a lot of fannish inspiration coming our way. :) Details on the Challenge soon, and [personal profile] ctbn60 has already created a fantastic banner, ready for all participants. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, some WW links for you: (One wonders who greenlights these things. The Clueless Train chugs along!) (I knew Wonder Woman's creator lived for years as part of a menage a trois and his bondage tastes, but this really goes in-depth into his connection to the 1910s Women's Movement. Might be why the movie has been set during WWI because of the vitality of the Movement.)

Hi, luvs!

I just realized that it's close to my 10th anniversary here on LJ. I created this journal on October 24, 2006, made my first post on November 12th, and my first fic posting on November 21st (Announcement I: The Ready Room), introducing myself to the DC Comics community here on-line. Little did I know the friends I would make and the prolific writing in my future! Good times, good times. :)

I don't know if I'll come up with something for the anniversary, but I wanted to acknowledge it to all my friends here on my f-list, and who have stuck around when a lot of people took off for shinier baubles platforms. A big THANK YOU to all the people who have encouraged me during low points, celebrated with me in good times, and helped me with gifting me with paid accounts and extra icon userpics, which has really made life here more fun. :)

I've had a great time reading, writing, and hosting my Challenges over the years, too. The 2016 DCU Fic/Art Halloween Challenge is my next-to-last Challenge, as I'm seriously considering doing something special for Wonder Woman next year to commemorate her first ever live-action movie. That will be my grand final Challenge and how better to do it than with one of my all-time favorite characters? :) I'm pretty proud of the many Challenges I've hosted (Complete List here) and another big THANK YOU to all who contributed during these past ten years.

It's been a rainy morning with plenty of fog, but we need the rain after a summer of drought. The leaves are turning bright colors and my sister and I are going to the orchard tomorrow to get fresh apples (can't get any fresher!). Life is good. Enjoy your weekend, my friends! :)

Last week was the 150th anniversary of Appomattox, Lee's surrender to Grant at that worthy courthouse. Today is the 150th anniversary of John Wilkes Booth shooting Abraham Lincoln. The President died the next day.

It's one of those events where you wonder, what would history have been like if Lincoln had lived? )

Hi, luvs!

Don't forget to vote in the poll on whether I should host a Dick Grayson Challenge this year for his 75th anniversary. I'm closing it Wednesday.

Very bizzy around here, though I may catch a break tomorrow. I might be going to see Cinderella. That's my favorite fairy tale and my favorite Disney animated movie. I've seen pictures of Cinderella's ball gown and it's SO GORGEOUS! That's worth the price of admission alone, along with those glass slippers. ;)

Hope you're doing well. Life can get so darned busy sometimes!

Today's positive happenings:

1) Made progress on my two stories for my 2014 DCU Fic/Art Halloween Challenge. Bubble, bubble, toil 'n' trouble! ;)

2) Noticed from my balcony that there is one tree starting to turn colors. Autumn is nearly here! :)

3) Was finally able to connect with my Movie Night buddies and we're on for next week after a long hiatus. We don't care what movie we see, just plan on enjoying the company during an evening out. :)

4) Adding one more: today's my sister's wedding anniversary! :)

Another year has come around and it’s been six years since I created this journal. Wow, six years! Time flies and all that. ;)

Come help me celebrate! :) )

Hi, luvs!

Boy, I think today was a rebellion against my very organized work on my BBs, LOL! I didn't type any chapters today, though I did some work in my notebook.

Mostly I uploaded my latest banner to my Profile Page. It's one of the loveliest banners [ profile] ctbn60 has ever done! It's for the 2011 DCU Fic/Art Steve/Diana Challenge. They're so HAPPY together! :)

Oh, yeah, and I finished doing my beta work of my beta's work on the [ profile] smallvillebbang story. Apparently I now have approximately 100 MORE words added! ;)

I'm still pondering what to do for my LJ anniversary late next month. I'm leaning toward a fixed number of requests so that I don't lose my mind! LOL!

So many thoughts running through my head! I think I need to take a break tomorrow. Football season has begun, so much of my Sunday will involve pre-game and game-watching, though my beloved Patriots don't play until Monday night. *pouts*

I could do wall-to-wall football, but I think I'll probably just catch a little of the pre-game shows and then see which games are playing in my market and maybe watch a half. I do intend to watch the Sunday night game.

I'll be on-line Monday but not much! Tom and the boys are taking up my evening! ;)

Happy Anniversary!
